Description

An embroidered patch in the shape of a scorpion, worked in grey, beige and olive, with a hook-and-loop backing. The matching sew-on counterpart is included.

How it is made

The scorpion is cut free — not a round or square field but the silhouette with claws, legs and curled tail. The edges are overstitched with olive thread, the surface shaded in several greys so the shell looks three-dimensional.

Two parts

On the back sits the hook side. With it comes the black loop counterpart in the same shape: that is sewn on once, after which the patch can be taken off and put back. That is how it is done on equipment that gets washed.

Condition

Good. Embroidery complete, no loose threads, edges cleanly overstitched. The fastening grips. A small fibre clings to the loop part — pick it off and it is done.
