Description

A magazine rack made entirely of rattan: bent bamboo tube as frame and handle, the basket in fine rods, every joint bound by hand in cane. The kind of work people looked to Italy for in the fifties.

Condition

Good, with one small break: on the lower frame tube a rod has broken and the cane binding has come loose there — shown in the close-up at the end. The tube itself is sound and the basket carries. Otherwise only the warm patina rattan takes on over the years.
