supercharged Indian-powered deuce · Forgotten Dry Lakes · large format
Item no. 100-782-000
«The Rodder’s Journal» — Hot Rod Annual. A red deuce on the cover; among the features announced are a «Supercharged Indian-Powered Deuce» and two pieces on the Forgotten Dry Lakes.
The Rodder’s Journal has appeared since the nineties in a small print run, on heavy paper, without the usual flood of advertising — instead with carefully researched stories and photographs you could frame. Old issues are collected and traded; a magazine nobody throws away.
The dry lakes — Muroc, El Mirage, Bonneville — are where hot rodding began: dried-out lake beds in California where records were set from the thirties on. The «Indian-powered deuce» is a 1932 Ford with a supercharged Indian motorcycle engine.
Good. Magazine tight, pages clean, cover uncreased. Slight reading creases on the spine.
