focus on the Japanese hot rod scene
Item no. 100-793-000
«Hop Up», Spring 2016 with the focus «Hop Up To Japan». A roadster in close-up on the cover.
Hop Up is the magazine for traditional hot rodding — cars built the way they were in the forties and fifties, with flathead engines, quick-change axles and no modern technology. Small format, matt paper, black-and-white photographs, hardly any advertising. The series is collected; single issues are hard to come by.
The Japanese hot rod scene often works the American model more strictly than its country of origin — correct parts, correct years, no shortcuts. This issue shows how far that goes.
Good. Magazine tight, pages clean, cover uncreased.
