The Art of Von Dutch · signed by four contributors · ex-library copy

The same book as our unsigned copy — but this one is signed by hand on the title page by four contributors: Aaron Kahan (dated '06), Douglas Nason, Al Quattrocchi and Jeff Smith. And it is a withdrawn library copy. Both belong in the same description, or the price makes no sense.

The Art of Von Dutch, Tornado Design 2006, is the survey of Kenneth Howard — pinstriper, knife-maker, gunsmith, recluse. The volume shows pinstriping, knives, tools, signs and photographs from the estate, in a layout that does the subject justice rather than merely reproducing it.

All four are on the title page, in different pens and hands — so given individually, not printed. Kahan signed with the year. The photographs show them legibly.

On a collector's volume that lowers the value considerably. That is why this copy, despite four signatures, sits only slightly above the unsigned one — not at twice the price, as it would without the library past.
