Smiths «Desynn» system indicator, Made in England — with the F+W 59 inspection stamp of the Swiss Federal Aircraft Factory Emmen (1959). Swiss Air Force use, Vampire/Venom era.

What does it do?

The Desynn system transmits readings electrically from sensor to display — flap position, trim or pressure, for example. This indicator is the cockpit end of that chain.
