Schabak of Nuremberg set the benchmark for small aircraft models in the souvenir trade through the eighties and nineties — cleanly printed, affordable, available in almost any airline livery. Until the grounding of 2001 Swissair was a piece of how Switzerland saw itself. What is left of it is collected today by people who still remember the cross on the tail — prices for good material have been rising for years.
