A Rat Fink key fob — the grinning green rat — a souvenir of the Mooneyes Hot Rod Custom Show in Japan. The back carries the lettering for the event.

Who Rat Fink is

Ed «Big Daddy» Roth invented the character in the early sixties as an anti-Mickey Mouse: greasy, shaggy, flies around his head and a grin that promises nothing good. Rat Fink became the emblem of kustom culture — on shirts, model kits and cars.

About the show

The Mooneyes Hot Rod Custom Show in Yokohama is the biggest gathering of this scene outside the USA and issues its own souvenirs each year. Fobs like this are sold only on the day and only in limited numbers — which is why they are hard to come by outside Japan.
