Plymouth 13-inch wheel covers · original, no reproduction

Two original Plymouth 13-inch wheel covers — not reproductions. Stainless steel, a pressed rib pattern across the whole face, in the middle the five-arm retainer with its springs, and around the rim the ring of spring tongues that holds the cover in the wheel flange.

These covers exist as reproductions, recognisable by thinner metal, softer edges and a retainer of spring steel rather than cast. That these are original parts is David's confirmation — he knows the parts; I found no stamping in the photographs that proves it independently. That is how it stands, and that is how it should be stated.

Used: gone matt, with scratches and storage marks, small dents around the edges. The spring tongues are complete and still springy — on old covers that is the decisive spot, because worn tongues no longer hold and can hardly be reset. No rust-through, no cracks.
