The 1969 Plymouth GTX in burgundy, 1:18 by Ertl American Muscle.

The real car

The GTX was Plymouth's upmarket muscle car: the 440 Super Commando as standard, the Hemi optional, plus all the equipment the Road Runner deliberately left out. When the cheaper Road Runner outsold it, the GTX disappeared after a few years.

About the range

From the nineties on, Ertl «American Muscle» was the most widespread 1:18 range of US cars: cleanly proportioned, with opening doors, hood and trunk. Not the last word in detail, but solidly built and no longer available new.
