The real car

The Duster 340 was the insider's choice: a light compact coupé on the Valiant platform with the free-revving 340 inside. It cost a fraction of a 'Cuda and ran the quarter mile almost as fast. For young buyers whose insurer refused them a big block, it was the answer.

About the range

From the nineties on, Ertl «American Muscle» was the most widespread 1:18 range of US cars: cleanly proportioned, with opening doors, hood and trunk. Not the last word in detail, but solidly built and no longer available new.
