The Pan Am Boeing 747-100, «Clipper Young America», scale 1:200, in its original box.
Pan Am was the airline that talked Boeing into building the 747 and flew it first in 1970. Every aircraft carried a «Clipper» name — a legacy of the flying-boat era. By 1991 Pan Am was bankrupt; what remains is the blue globe logo, one of the best-known marks of the twentieth century.
1:200 is the standard scale for airliner collectors: big enough for detail, small enough for the shelf. These models were built in small runs for the collectors' market, not as toys.
Left wingtip missing. Otherwise good condition. Reflected in the price.
