Description

An octopus in silvery metal, fully modelled: domed head with formed eyes, eight arms twisting in different directions — four of them ending in upright candle sockets with relief suckers.

Why it works

The arms are not arranged symmetrically but lie in uneven movement, which makes the piece read as alive rather than decorative. The suckers are modelled right into the sockets.
