Taco Verlag · the stereoscopic nude from 1850 to 1930 · three languages, with instructions for the stereo viewer
Item no. 100-1019-000
In the nineteenth century the stereoscopic nude was a widespread branch of photography in its own right — paired images that became spatial in the viewer. Serge Nazarieff worked this material up for Taco Verlag: Der Akt in der Photographie / The Stereoscopic Nude / Le Nu stéréoscopique 1850–1930, with a preface by Jacques Cellard.
Stereo pairs at original size, annotated in three languages, plus instructions for the 3D glasses and notes on makers and distribution channels — an industry that officially never existed.
Used, clean, block tight.
Historical nude photography from collectors' holdings. Sold to adults.
