Description

A long shell necklace of small, naturally grown cowries, strung close together and broken up at intervals by larger pieces.

What it is

Cowries served for centuries as currency across the Indian Ocean and the Pacific before they became jewellery. This necklace is made as a closed loop — you pull it over your head; there is no clasp to jam.
