Stereo Power Amplifier · 2×200 Watt · 220V version
Item no. 020-003-000
McIntosh MC 2200 stereo power amplifier – an American classic from the late seventies (Binghamton, New York). 2×200 watts, output autoformers, Power Guard. 220-volt export version – runs directly on the Swiss/European grid, no transformer needed.
McIntosh of Binghamton, New York built the amplifiers that powered Woodstock in 1969. The 200 watts of this MC 2200 are to your living room what Woodstock would be to a garden party.
Good, unmodified original condition with normal signs of use (light scratches on the front, see photos). The gain controls can crackle slightly when adjusted – a typical sign of age, easily fixed by cleaning the pots. No known repairs or modifications. McIntosh units of this era are still fully serviceable today – an amplifier for life. Listening sessions on site welcome – the matching Bose 901 Series VI are for sale as well.
