A plaster figure of Our Lady of Lourdes: white robe with a blue sash, veil over the head, hands folded in prayer, a rosary over the arm. The black-finished base carries impressed lettering.

The motif

The image follows the apparition Bernadette Soubirous described in 1858 at the grotto of Massabielle near Lourdes — white dress, blue sash, yellow roses on the feet. It has since become one of the most reproduced figures there is: millions were sold at Lourdes and carried all over the world.
