step-down body on a rolling frame · import papers on hand · many original and new parts · no engine
Item no. 010-1170-000
A 1951 Hudson Hornet as a project: the famous step-down body on a rolling frame, stripped and partly repaired already. The import papers are on hand — the import is done, which in Switzerland is half the work.
No engine. The Hornet came with the 308-cubic-inch straight six that made it the most feared car in stock car racing in the early fifties. Whoever takes the project on decides whether it becomes a six again or something else.
The step-down construction set the floor between the frame rails — the car sat lower than anything the competition built, and that is why it ran away from them on the track. Exactly that line stands here on the frame.
In Rickenbach ZH. A trailer is needed. Best to go through the parts and the work done on site.
