Mattel Collectibles · case signed by Bob Mosher · unopened
Item no. 010-389-000
A Hot Wheels Collectibles model of the 1963 Plymouth in «Melrose Missile» drag trim, unopened in its clear display case on the original card marked «Limited Edition for the Adult Collector» — and there is a signature across the case.
Across the display case Bob Mosher has signed by hand — he owns the real car. Mosher restored the 1963 «Melrose Missile»: the Super Stock Plymouth with the 426 Max Wedge, driven by Tom Grove and Charlie Di Bari, S/S class winner at the 1963 Winternationals. That is what the «1963 Winternationals Champ» lettering on the flank of the model refers to. No certificate comes with it — the signature stands on its own.
The card text says it plainly: the Chrysler was the street machine of the early sixties, thanks to the 426 Max Wedge with two four-barrel carbs and the push-button Torqueflite. The Melrose Missile was among the best-known Max Wedge race cars of the era.
Anyone who has already looked at the Mopar literature and model cars in this shop knows why this belongs: same family, just in 1:64 and unopened.
Very good, case sealed, card with light storage and edge wear.
