Description

Original mug of the «Honolulu Restaurant» in Massachusetts — the Polynesian restaurant on Route 9 in Westboro (from 1970) and Route 1 in Norwood. Blue glaze, hula dancer and palms in relief, cream-coloured rims.

The story behind it

Both venues are long gone — the Westboro one lasted into the early 2000s. Restaurant mugs like this are the classic witnesses of the American tiki era.
