Description

A hand brush with a broad fan of pale natural fibres, tightly bound with dark thread at the neck, on a slender bamboo handle. The junction is further covered with a woven net.

Craft

The binding is the interesting part: fibre bundle and handle are not glued but joined with a wrapped and woven binding — the technique with which such brushes have always been made in Southeast Asia.
