Description

A solid glass ball in a warm amber tone, with a gold label enclosed inside — turn it and the label catches the light.

How it is made

The glass is coloured through, not cased: the tone runs through the whole mass and darkens where it is thick. The label sits free within the glass, sealed in during forming. The ball is heavy in the hand and does not roll away, the base being slightly flattened. It works as a paperweight as well as simply lying beside one.

Key facts

  • Solid glass, coloured through in amber
  • Gold label enclosed inside
  • Base slightly flattened, does not roll
  • Noticeable weight

Condition

Good. No cracks, no chips. The surface shows fine use scratches, visible only against the light. Clear inside.
