NEUGold wings · modelled eyeball · Von Dutch's mark
Item no. 050-364-000
A pin in the form of the flying eyeball: a modelled eyeball with a brown iris, flanked by two gold, finely feathered wings.
The winged eyeball is the invention of Kenny Howard, alias Von Dutch, the pinstriper who turned the craft into an art form in fifties California. The motif has hung over kustom shops and appeared on tanks, hoods and jackets ever since — a sign that the work here is done by hand.
Good, gilding complete, pin clasp works.
