Description

Elvis in the white jumpsuit, guitar in yellow, set in a blue-painted display box with a red backdrop. About 13 centimetres tall — the Vegas years as a small shrine.

How it is made

The box is painted blue all round and decorated with a pale wave pattern, the front left open. The figure stands free inside, the red ground giving it stage light. Niches like this with pop figures play on the visual language of saints' shrines — and the raised-arm pose does its part. No maker is named.
