A «Reporter» slide viewer in the shape of a small television set: black housing, curved screen, white front bezel with the framed lettering. With the original box.

The orange and black box reads «Dia-Betrachter — zweifache Linsenkombination — für Batteriebetrieb» (slide viewer — twin lens combination — for battery operation). A device, then, that needs no mains socket: slide in the top slot, press the button, look in.

The design is the whole joke: the thing is a television in miniature, with a stand, bezel and curved screen — made right in the period when the television set was the piece of furniture in the living room. The slot for the mounted slide is on top.

Whether the bulb still lights has not been tested — that would take the right batteries. I am selling the device as untested. The optics are clean and clear.

There is no photograph with a tape measure for this piece. It fits comfortably in one hand. I will measure it on request.

Good for its age. Housing unbroken, screen clear, bezel complete. The box is bumped at the edges and torn open at the top, but holds together.
