About the editor

Heinrich Harrer was a mountaineer — one of the first to climb the Eiger north face in 1938 — and became known through «Seven Years in Tibet», the account of his time as a confidant of the young Dalai Lama. He then spent decades travelling to regions that were still barely touched, and documented them photographically.
