Bose 901 Series VI Complete Set

with Active Equalizer and original Tulip stands

Bose 901 Series VI – the legendary Direct/Reflecting speaker, in production for almost 50 years. Complete set: speaker pair, the essential Active Equalizer and the original chrome Tulip stands.

What does it do?

The 901 aims eight of its nine drivers backwards: sound is meant to hit the wall first and reflect — like in a concert hall. That's why the Active Equalizer belongs to it, and why it sounds bigger than it looks.

Condition

A well-kept set with normal signs of use. A look behind the rear cover (last photo in the gallery) shows the drivers with intact surrounds. On one top panel the veneer has chipped at a corner (see detail photo) – barely visible once the speakers are set up. Cloth grilles intact, stands in good condition. The set has been unused in recent years – before that it ran flawlessly on the McIntosh power amplifier, which is also for sale. Listening on site is welcome, of course.
