Description

A white Bachmann model car, about 5 centimetres long: flat body, black roof, red tail lights. The base plate is embossed «Bachmann · Hong Kong» and carries the number 7010 — «Auto Set No. 1».

Where it comes from

Bachmann Brothers of Philadelphia made model railway accessories from the nineteen-fifties on — best known for Plasticville, the plastic houses and streets you populated a layout with. Production ran in Hong Kong. Set no. 7010 belongs to that line: a handful of cars to the scale of the layout, so the streets do not stay empty.

On the make

The body is a single piece, the wheels run on through-axles. The low silhouette with its long bonnet and short tail renders an American car of the sixties — which model exactly is not written anywhere. Coming out of a set, this car is a single piece without packaging.

Condition

Used, good. The paintwork is complete, with fine scratches on the bonnet and wings. All four wheels turn, no axle bent. The embossing on the base is legible.
