Teardrop-shaped pod from aerial reconnaissance — composite material (presumably GRP), carried externally on the aircraft, it flew camera and recon equipment through the sky. Neatly riveted opening, glorious patina. Today: a sculpture with a past.

What does it do?

Pods like this carried reconnaissance cameras under the aircraft: fly there, take pictures, come home. Composite, aerodynamic, discreet — what it saw remains its secret.
