The standard work on the concert poster: Paul Grushkin's «The Art of Rock», published by Abbeville Press — the large, heavy edition, not the miniature. From the handbills of the fifties by way of the psychedelic Fillmore posters to the photocopied punk flyers of the eighties.
What is inside
More than 1,500 posters, arranged chronologically and reproduced in colour throughout, with the names of the artists and printers. The jacket carries Wes Wilson's burning head, the back board a grid of posters.
Condition
Boards and dust jacket complete, block tight, no markings. Handling wear along the jacket edges, as usual for a volume of this weight.
