Description

André de Dienes photographed Norma Jeane Baker in 1945, when she was still nobody, and stayed close to her for years. This Schirmer/Mosel volume gathers his pictures: beach shots, desert sessions, portraits — the famous series in the white two-piece on the sand is here.

How it is made

Black-and-white plates in duotone, quietly laid out, with de Dienes's text. The cover carries the picture with the raised arm.

Condition

Boards and block clean and complete, no markings. Light storage wear along the edges.
