An American Silver Eagle, 1 ounce of .999 fine silver (second example), on a Philswiss card with certificate.

The coin

The Silver Eagle has been struck by the US Mint since 1986 and is the best-selling silver bullion coin of all. The obverse design is by Adolph Weinman and was created in 1916 for the Walking Liberty half dollar. With silver, the metal value is the floor; everything above it is set by the collector market. Certificate, original case and preservation decide the premium.
