About: Juicy Salif

Description

The miniature of the «Juicy Salif» by Alessi: the same silhouette as Philippe Starck's big lemon squeezer — ribbed teardrop body on three long curved legs — just one size down.

Why it exists

The Juicy Salif has been the most-discussed object in the Alessi range since 1990: middling as a squeezer, iconic as a sculpture. Small-format versions are purely collector's pieces — they live on the shelf, not in the kitchen.

On the stated facts

The photos show the miniature next to the full-size model so the difference in scale is visible. That shows the size difference directly; any base marking is not documented.
