Description

The photographic duo 666 works with sets, costume and light like a baroque painter, and photographs people from the rockabilly, tattoo and burlesque scenes. The result sits between devotional image and pin-up and is too much for either. Korero Books gathered them in this volume.

What carries the book

Not the subjects alone but the making: elaborately built sets, roses, drapery, gilt frames, and models whose tattoos are part of the composition rather than a quotation. The spreads are printed large, the colour is strong, the paper heavy.

What to check on the item

Some editions came with enclosed CDs. The only comparable price we found was for a copy without them. Whether this one has them cannot be seen in the photographs — please check on the book.
